Douyin Group,Brunette | Adult Movies Online TikTok’s China sibling, has said it fired 88 workers in the first half of this year for violating anti-fraud rules, and that another 17 employees were reported to the judicial authorities for suspected criminal offenses. Most of the sacked employees belonged to the short video platform’s e-commerce and local life service units, according to a post on Douyin’s official WeChat account. Such anti-fraud movements are common in China’s tech sector, with the firms regularly reporting the results to the public. Tencent dismissed more than 120 staff for bribery and corruption last year.
