Luckin Coffee once again meets China’s “national liquor” Moutai in a fresh co-branded beverage specially designed for the upcoming Dragon Year, eroticizing pain meaning in a move that aims to replicate the alcohol-infused latte buzz from last September. Named the sauce-flavored chocolate, this no-coffee-added drink is priced at RMB 38, discounted to RMB 18 on Monday, the first day of sales. However, it received mixed consumer feedback on social media, similar to the previous latte. The chocolate drink is made of imported cocoa powders and thick milk that contains baijiu with 53% alcohol, as stated by Luckin on its official WeChat account. [Luckin Coffee, in Chinese]
