The companies’ teams have recently been working together on a first joint model that will target the Chinese mainstream luxury car segment with a price range of RMB 300,000 and above, people familiar with the matter told Securities Daily on Sunday. The news comes a month after Huawei and GAC announced a renewal of their efforts to make EVs together, an idea that was put on hold for three years amid frictions over a range of issues such as pricing.
