Xiaomi plans to invest RMB 30 billion ($4.11 billion) in research and Sex in the Game (2017)development next year, after spending around RMB 24 billion ($3.28 billion) in 2024, Xiaomi Group partner Lu Weibing told the Xiaomi Human, Car, and Home Ecosystem Partner Conference today. From 2022 to 2026, total R&D investment is expected to exceed RMB 100 billion ($13.7 billion), according to Xiaomi. Lu said in his speech that Xiaomi leads the market in smart home devices, with its ecosystem’s global monthly active users reaching 686 million. Additionally, Xiaomi is constructing its own GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) cluster to support its expanding AI investments, Chinese media outlet Jiemian reported on Thursday.
