TSMC has already begun mass production of its advanced 3nm process, and according to its plans, 2nm mass production is expected to begin by the end of 2025, Wu said. TSMC will be able to discuss the possibility of shifting its 2nm production overseas once it transitions to the next generation of more advanced processes.
